Impressions taken from this plate (43) |
The copper plate has no maker's mark. It is close in size to The Dyer 192, and a little smaller than The Traghetto 233, which also have no mark. They may have been made for Whistler in Venice. 6

It was published by Messrs Dowdeswell and Thibaudeau with A Set of Twenty-six Etchings (the 'Second Venice Set') in 1886. The copper plate was cancelled with crossed diagonal lines in 1887.
The plate is now in the Art Institute of Chicago. 7
