The Rag Shop, Milman's Row dates from 1887. The butterfly signature on the copper plate and pencil butterflies on different impressions confirm a date of 1887 (i.e. 
). Furthermore, it was close in size to another copper plate dated early 1887, Furniture Shop [278].
