 This  etching was rarely exhibited. It was shown twice   by the print dealers,  H. Wunderlich & Co. in New York in 1901 and 1903.  4  
An impression was shown after Whistler's death, at the comprehensive Grolier Club exhibition in New York in 1904. Howard Mansfield (1849-1938) lent his impression - probably bought from Wunderlich's - to two exhibitions in Boston, in 1904 and 1910 ( ). 5
