TECHNIQUE
                            Palaces, Brussels, is primarily an etching. Tiny patches of fine diagonals  above and behind the single figure under the second window from the right, visible in the first and second states,  may be drypoint or could be marks left by a scraper.  Patches of drypoint were definitely added to  the façades of the houses at left and centre in the second state.
